Transform your front yard with a stunning curved stamped concrete walkway and stairway. Note how this renovation enhances curb appeal and creates a natural flow to the front door. Moving the stairway to the center (it was right next to the driveway) also brings balance to the landscape. (See last photo of before the landscape renovation). The beautiful stamped concrete steps with cantilevered bullnose edges add a real punch to the walkway. We simplify the number of materials and lines (edges) used. This creates a less busy and more serene look. To promote a harmonious look, we use a complimentary color scheme of purple and yellow. These colors are in both the hardscape (concrete walkway and pots) and the plants’ flowers.
The plantings are not just pretty, though. This client asked that we make sure each plant passes a test. All plants must provide eco-friendly values: be drought-tolerant and/or be valuable for pollinators and wildlife. Birds, butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds showed up immediately when the plants were brought to the job site. We saw them before the plants were even put in the ground! We specialize in these types of plantings. For more info on how to create a wildlife haven, please follow this link: https://bluestarlandscapedesigners.com/wildlife-habitat/
At Bluestar Landscape Designers, we do more than just draw plans for homeowners. We also complete the Homeowners’ Association submittal documents, find contractors for all aspects of the project, and manage the project during construction. We do all of this for most of our clientele. Go to our Design Process page to learn more: Sacramento Landscape Design Process
Look for this home with the curved stamped concrete walkway on the Lincoln Del Webb garden tour this April! We look forward to seeing you there.
